Categories of Manpower

A.Security personnel:

For over 175 years the mountain tribes of Nepal have been recruited for overseas military and police service with foreign governments. These men have collectively become known as Gurkhas. Today, in excess of 45000 men serve overseas for the governments of Britain, India and Singapore. The Nepal police and army have some 60000 serving personnel. All will serve for a minimum of 10 years and up to a maximum of 25 years. On completion of service, this highly skilled and trained source of manpower return to their towns and villages. Many however will seek opportunities to continue service overseas with foreign security companies. Countries and regions employing the services of these Gurkhas include Brunei, Britain, Afghanistan, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Many find employment aboard cruise and container ships.

Manpower Services retains an extensive data bank of names and qualifications to meet client requirements.

Skills that can be provided include: Static guards, Security supervisors, Ship security Officers, Drivers, mine clearance teams and Close Protection / Bodyguard teams.

B. Professional personnel :

Included in this category are Nurses, Health care assistants, I.T personnel, Hotel Managers, Cooks and Accountants.

Many of the above Nepali’s have achieved International accreditation in their respective fields. Most will have at least 2 years work experience. Manpower Services Nepal maintains an extensive data bank of the above skills to meet client requirements. If, cross over courses are required to meet host country requirements, Manpower Services Nepal can assist the client with such training.

C. Semi and Unskilled personnel :

Included in this category are Storekeepers, Book keepers, Artisans, Drivers,
Labourers, Domestics, Waiters and Laundry staff.

Nepal has an ample source of such personnel. The country has a reputation for providing hardy, hardworking and trustworthy staff. All selected manpower will have been carefully selected and screened to meet client requirements. An extensive data bank is maintained and regularly updated to provide a guaranteed source of manpower at short notice.
